Antonio (Tony) Moreno, Sr., CFP founder of Moreno Financial Services, passed away in August of 2003 following complications of leukemia. He was a partner with Moreno, Peelen & Company, LLC, Tony Sr. was a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow. He had been quoted as an expert source on employee benefits and financial planning in The Orlando Sentinel and The New York Post. Tony was a member of the Financial Planners Association and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. From 1993-94, he served as president of the Central Florida Society of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners.
His wife Miriam Moreno* enjoys working closely with both of her children as partners in the firm. Miriam oversees the general management and administration of the firm and it's personnel, including the filing of claims and handling of regulatory communications. She is indispensable administrator who allows others to stay client focused.
Elizabeth (Lisa) Moreno-Haramboure* Lisa specializes in employee benefit programs. She has gained a proven track record in employee benefit strategies for large and small companies all across Florida. She is also a Gold/Silver Member for sales and service excellence for United Health Care Corporation. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1989 from the University of Central Florida, and is an active member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2005, she was a finalist in the Don Quijote (Community Achievement) Award of Central Florida. Lisa is also a member of the Health Underwriters Association, is the past Vice-President and President of the St. John Vianney School PTO, as well as past member of their Advisory Board. She is also a member of the Civitan Club, and past board member of Shepherd’s Hope. In 2006, Lisa was the recipient of the “Jefferson Award for Public Service” for outstanding community service. Lisa has been chosen as one of the Orlando Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40”, one of the most successful and influential people in Central Florida under 40.
Antonio (Tony) Moreno, Jr., ChFC®, Chartered Financial Consultant The roots of what has become Moreno, Peelen, Ruggie, Pinto & Clark were planted in Orlando back in 1961. Now more than forty five years later, MPRP&C continue to meet the investment and financial planning needs of Central Floridians. Following in his late father’s footsteps, Tony Moreno, Jr, joined the firm sixteen years ago, and has now become one of the most widely known family business and corporate planners in this area. Tony has devoted his practice solely to wealth transfer and exit planning. As part of a second-generation multidisciplinary financial services firm, he truly understands and has the resources to provide clients with independent and objective solutions. With 50+ years of combined experience, Tony and his team knows what it takes to assist business owners with the development of an exit plan that reflects personal, family and business concerns.
As a Chartered Financial Consultant, his commitment to his clients has resulted in membership of the Million Dollar Round Table's elite group "Court of the Table" and "Top of the Table". He is also the recipient of the prestigious Leon Levy award, honoring financial services professionals who have met the most stringent ethical and professional standards while providing continuous quality advise and service to his clients.
Tony has a degree in finance from the University of Central Florida. He is a member of the BEI Network of Exit Planning Advisors, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Association of Advanced Life Underwriting, a Registered Financial Consultant and a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow. In addition, he has served on the board of The National Organ Transplant Foundation and the Development Board for St. John Vianney Catholic School. He currently sits on the finance committee for the Hebrew Day School and the University of Central Florida Foundation Investment Committee.
Tony, his wife Karen, and his three children Carli, Tony III and Ellie reside in Winter Park, Florida.
Scott Peelen, ChFC®, a Chartered Financial Consultant, has an innate ability to build relationships and communicate ideas effectively. These qualities have made him a favorite advisor to many of Central Florida's most prominent citizens. Scott specializes in high net worth planning as well as many aspects of small business asset protection. He produces and hosts a television segment called Focus on Finance for Central Florida News 13. He has also been a guest speaker at national financial planning conferences. Scott is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table's "Court of the Table" honoring top professionals in the industry, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Association of Advanced Life Underwriting, as well as a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow. He has also been named a member of Phoenix Life's Hall of Fame. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in international relations.
Thomas H. Ruggie, ChFC®, CFP® a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Certified Financial Planner who provides wealth management for successful individuals and businesses. He coordinates his clients' entire financial situation, including asset management, estate planning, retirement planning, planning for business owners, charitable, and trust planning. Tom was recently named one of the 100 top Wealth Advisors in the United Stages by Worth magazine. Tom is president of the Mid-Florida Estate Planning Council, and serves on the board of the YMCA, Eustis Chamber of Commerce, and Florida Hospital Foundation's Gift Planning Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Million Dollar round Table's most elite group "Top of the Table". He has written articles for Civil Action Magazine, and has been quoted as a source in The Orlando Sentinel's Central Florida Business. He has a degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida.
Christina Pinto, CFP®, specializes in long term care and retirement planning for individuals, business owners and key executives. Certified Long Term Care Professional and Series 7 licensee, she has demonstrated the depth of her knowledge to provide world-class advice, even in the most complex environments. Through her experience in assisting with the operations of her family’s Orlando-based business for over 20 years, Christina understands the importance of proper planning in order to help protect retirement assets, mitigate risk and care for key executives.
Since graduating from the University Of Central Florida School Of Business, Christina has remained dedicated to the Orlando Community. She serves on the Ronald McDonald Charities Key Initiative Board, the HBIF and also the Downtown Arts District Board. She has also served as a board member of the Central Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the YMCA Hispanic Achievers and also volunteered as a teacher with Junior Achievement. Christina along with 3 of her colleagues started a professional women’s networking group; Movers and Shakers which is quite successful and growing. Their goal is to provide professional women an opportunity to meet one another and help their businesses continue to prosper.
Rob Clark, CFP® Certified Financial Planner, is a well-known local expert in the matters of retirement and investment planning. For the past 10 years he has educated and guided retirees as well as those about to retire who want to protect their principal and insure that their money lasts. His advice focuses on helping his clients avoid the most common financial mistakes. Rob has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. To become a CFP® professional, he successfully completed a comprehensive course of study culminating in a 10-hour, two-day test proving his expertise in financial planning, tax planning, employee benefits and retirement planning, estate planning, investment management, and asset protection.
Rob serves on the Joint Board of Directors for the Florida Citrus Sports Organization and the board for the After School Outreach Ministry. He was born in Sarasota, FL, graduated from the University of Central Florida, is married with two daughters, and resides in College Park, FL.
